After reading the whole content of the e-mail four times, I noticed that there's a PS message at the bottom part. It said, "Please pass this e-mail to any of your friends. It will help my family pay for my daughter's hospital bills and medicines." Seeing this particular message, I realized that what I was reading was a different kind of spam. I know you know what spam is. And I'm sure you've received a message that goes exactly like this.

I don't know if the e-mail in question is real. But it touched me the way sad movies do, so I sent it to my friends and relatives to help the baby girl. Perhaps not all spam are bad. Why don't we give Internet security a break. This sort of chain letter is created to help raise funds for people who are really in need. I know there are more important things than chain mails such as this. But a child's life is far more priceless than any portable notebook or personal digital assistant.

Semi-illiterate computer users know that spam is harmful, yet they don't know what it is exactly. On the other hand, morons know nothing about computer spam, except the Spam ham ad in the net. Spams are simply filthy, unwanted messages. Some of them can be as plain as a product advertisement of some nonsense whitening lotion. But most of the modern spam today are becoming more criminal in nature. This time, they are aiming for the blogosphere.

I think spammers got themselves a new opponent. It's no ordinary product from some profit-oriented computer company. This time, the software giant Microsoft will kick asses with their new software tool named Strider Search Defender. The name, which sounds like a Power Ranger robot, suggests that it's another spam blocker and filter that prevents malicious messages, either in text or picture form, from penetrating the system. Furthermore, it searches blogs and sites for possible spam.

Microsoft knows that spammers targets social networking websites by sending irrelevant URLs on guest books and forums. The search engine will link these URLs as search results so they'll keep on reappearing on the web. Bloggers and searchers can be fooled by spam disguising as URLs. What Mr. Strider does is it detects infected domains and inform the administrators about them. For more information about the new software, visit the Microsoft website.

The hype about online privacy is causing confusion and panic to consumers than ever before. The incessant attention given by the media and the government to this issue is aggravating the fear felt by computer users from the business and personal sector. Moreover, the shitheaded, profit-oriented device makers are complicating the circus by creating products that are geared to saving one's digital privacy. Such products are too good to be true.
Only dungbrains don't know what privacy is. Anyway, it is as simple as making sure that no one is tracking your actions while you're surfing the net. Kids are the priority of government projects for online protection. Children are easy preys for digital predators like pervert pedophiles, hackers, and scammers. If I'm not mistaken, we already have this Children's Online Privacy Act that helps ensure the security of children using the Internet.
The best thing that you parents can do to ensure your children's privacy is to accompany your bundles of joy while they surf the net. You should also install firewall security systems that has parent censoring features so you can choose the websites that your kids can access. I know your kids don't want you beside them while they make friends in MySpace, so talk to them heart-to-heart about their security.

The Internet is a huge source of information and sometimes a cause of confusion. My 30-something friend Eunice and I decided to introduce her mom to the wonderful world of the World Wide Web. Our first move was to give her a book called Internet for Dummies by John Levine and company. I think the book is quintessentially the must-have for new computer users who want to know anything and everything about the web. I've read the book myself actually, and I find the book very friendly and informative.
After giving her the book, we proceeded to our next step. We showed her the popular "Google" website, and we told her that it can answer any questions she had. Eunice's mother was very skeptical and jaded at first, until I said, "It's true, Mrs. Coltrane. Think of anything you want to ask, anything."
I sat in front of the computer with fingers positioned on the wireless keyboard, ready to strike. The witty lady thought for a minute, then she asked the simplest question and at the same time the most confusing I've ever heard, "How Is my husband doing?" Eunice and I looked at each other giggling -- her dad is in Japan for three years now.

Aside from stupid people disguising as nonsense users of social networking sites, spam is the most annoying stuff in the net. Creating spam is very easy, and it makes so much money that everyone is engrossed with this absurd profit-oriented business. I'll teach you how, but promise me you're not going to send them to my inbox okay?!
Making spam is as simple as sending nasty e-mail jokes in the net. Like if you want to sell a cheatsheet about a certain Xbox 360 game, send a message to everyone in your address book with a subject line, "This Can Make You A Winner--- You Can Have It For $2!" Your email must contain a link to your Xbox gaming website. As a result of those emails, you got yourself fifty orders from fifty moron gamers. You even earn yourself a title, "Foulest Game Spammer on Earth!"
See, creating spam won't make you sweat. You are just sitting there all day, clicking the "send" button, and making money while you're at it! This is why it's very hard to eliminate spam in the net. Perhaps, they're here to stay. And because computer idiots who read this article might become millionaires through spamming, I've decided to charge you $20 for reading this. However, you get 50% discount if you're a first-time visitor.

Spyware authors as well as virus writers have two things in common: they're bad and they're sneaky. As you noticed, no matter how well you protect your computers from the harmful effects of these nasty computer experts, they are still able to penetrate your system without your knowledge. We have many anti-spyware and antivirus softwares available, but only few of them can deliver the performance that they promised.
Perhaps we should accept the fact that adware, malware, spam, hackers, Trojans, viruses, and spyware are here to stay. The best thing that we can do is to keep them away from our system and networks. Stomp Spyware X-terminator is an innovative tool that can remove all the stubborn worms and bugs residing in your hard drive. Just like the eye of Sauron in The Lord of The Rings, Stomp scans your entire system to get rid of intruders that want to destroy your computer and its protection.
It also serves as a watchdog that blocks malicious program from the Internet that try to penetrate your gateway by disguising as ordinary messages. There are actually so many ways that a user can employ to secure his machine. The best thing is that one should not fall prey to spyware and viruses disguising as free cursor or cool screensaver.

The most popular tactic of cyber-criminals is by sending multiple modern spyware and adware that can easily enter a computer's system and become unnoticeable to the myriad security systems installed in it. After that, these spyware resides on the computer's hard drive and tries to disarm your machine from the security devices that protect it so that the master hacker can easily get log-on information, financial data, and other personal information that can be sold to a third party criminal.
It's a good thing that we have Network Associates Anti-SpyWare v1.0 from McAfee, which is the best thing to match these hackers. Much to the horror of these cyber criminals, the spyware is a highly-gifted and a real spyware blocker that resides in your gateway to block illegal programs while it scans your whole system for unwanted files that try to disrupt its operation. Most hackers today are profit-centered. Thus, they'd rather steal your credit card information, which is more important than your wallet. But this security product is much wiser: it deletes the hackers first line of assault and blocks their other weapons of destruction. But the responsibility of sweeping away spyware and hackers lies in the user of the machine and not solely on the product.

Viruses and spyware are sneaky little things that know how to attack various flaws in your personal computer's security tools. Virus writers and spyware authors are also targeting the security suite itself to block it from connecting to the parent company for needed updates. This must be why no matter how many security tools we buy and install in our machines, we still don't get the assurance that they'll be as safe as a tightly wrapped laptop.
Malicious programs have penetrated many computer systems, either it's a business computer or a home computer. Yes, we got filters and blockers against these bugs and worms, but with the developing rackets that these culprits of computer terrorism are doing, perhaps it'll be safe to state that no computers, users, and security tools are safe, so run for your lives! But, before we end with that conclusion, let me tell you guys that there's this product that stood out from the myriad of nonsense safety gadgets available today. AntiVir Personal Edition Classic 6.32, the most innovative product that can sweep away most worms that is inside your hard drive while blocking other worms that want to turn your system into their condominium unit. I've used this program for months before, but I stopped because I want to get its updated version.

Spam is only good if it comes from a can and you can put it in your sandwich along with tomatoes and ice lettuce. But if it comes from an unknown website and it tries to disrupt your Internet connection and ruin your system, then that's the bad version of spam. I don't know how it got its name, but for me, spam is simply junk mail.
And too much junk for my PC's body is not exactly healthy, so I'd better act and find a good spam-filter. I've been rummaging my drawers to check some credible technology magazines' reviews about recent spam filter products. I saw MailWasher, and according to the review, it scans your inboxes as well your outboxes to detect and delete spam, adware, spyware and viruses. Hmm, this sounds pretty okay to me since it's kind of a multitasking security product. And with the myriad threats that can affect computers today, what we really need is a powerhouse of a workhorse that can do several tasks.
I'm optimistic with this tool and I believe that this new technology can kill spam if not the stupid spammers who help distribute them. Jeez, I can't wait to see my inboxes clear of all those nonsense advertisements. And if ever I want spams, don't worry I'll ask.

Spam mails are the most irritating objects ever invented on Earth. These nonsense trash floods my inbox and worst, they don't want to leave it. Meanwhile, spammers are the worst creators on land next to virus and spyware authors.
Yes, we got spam filters and blockers available. However, some of them give more trouble than do good. Some of these lousy filters allow bulk and spam mails to enter your inbox whilst blocking the important messages that you've been waiting for a long time. And oh boy, may I just add that they don't come cheap. Thankfully, we got CloudMark Desktop - Anti Phishing Filter, which is a superb tool that answers all our spam problems. It eliminates unnecessary and illegal programs and messages in my system without blocking important e-mails like messages from clients or employment opportunities. It features a growing fashion in computer security that rely on hardware plugged into a network to protect many PCs, instead of software programs installed on individual PCs.
Cleaning the mess brought by spammers is not as easy as wiping spilled milk. It might take a large amount of time for you to delete all those nonsense in your mail manually. Jeez, talk about a tiring digital clean-up huh! So it'll be better to have a hassle-free life with CloudMark.

Spyware authors and virus writers are two of the most notorious groups that spread distress and disaster to home and business computer users. Although we have anti-virus and spyware-blocking tools available, some of them are too weak that they bring more harm than good. Yes, both of these tools are capable of identifying malicious files. However, not all of them can delete those codes out of your computer's system.
Panda Software Titanium 2006 Antivirus is the tool to pick if you want genuine protection from attacks of hackers, viruses, and other virtual pests. It features superb scanning abilities that detect most of the known viruses, spam, and spyware in your system. It kicks out these sneaky computer enemies out of the machine while keeping your PC to work smoothly. The spyware-filter sits between your network gateway and the World Wide Web wearing a prying eye to protect the system against disguising illegal traffic even in their zero-day attack. It's really hard to determine a good security software product especially when you have little or no knowledge about PC security. However, Panda has a user-friendly interface and an easy to follow user's guide so you won't worry about contacting their technical support representatives.

Spyware, malware, adware, and viruses lurk in the four corners of the World Wild Web just like fire ants on your denim pants. But unlike ant bites that can heal easily using a baking soda solution, the distress and damage brought by computer pests are very difficult to mend. This is why we consumers, are hesitant in trying out new operating systems like the Windows Vista Beta because it might contain more vicious viruses than expected.
It's a good thing that we got available preventive tools such as firewall security systems and anti-spyware products that help eliminate the crowd of bugs and pests in our system. Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4, protects your computer from attacks of nasty spyware and its company. It examines your system for uninvited pests and deletes them digitally from your personal computer. It has a database of known illegal traffic that allows it to detect more species of computer parasites than other security suites. It blocks malicious files in the gateway to prevent it from entering and ruining the network system. Furthermore, it gives users accurate facts about the spyware that it detected and the possible damage that it can inflict. This product was released last 2003. Updates have been done to suffice the needs of its clients after receiving huge support.

Viruses are not only dangerous to health, they are also fatal to our precious computer machines. They lurk nastily in the four corners of the Internet then enter a target computer network. When they're inside your system, they reside in your hard drive and hibernate there. But it's a good thing that we have a number of available software products that we can use to repel this nasty viruses, bugs, and worms out of our PC's gateway. However, the problem with so many anti-virus software solutions is that we are having a difficult time choosing for the best.
Alwil Software's Avast Home Edition 4.6 is a new software for all our virus worries. It displays a glossy interface style like those we see in media players. The free software for home users is very easy to install. Just download the program from the Avast! website choosing the proper language then install and register it. You can use the free software for sixty days and give your PCs a total security against viruses. However, the free trial is dedicated only to those home users who utilize their PCs for non-profitable use. The company also has anti-virus programs for business users, but I'm not sure if it's for free, as well.

Aside from food, shelter, and clothing, I guess the fourth basic need of a human being in order to survive life on Earth is security. Yes, each of us badly needs security against sicknesses, accidents, and criminals. Aside from security in the real world, we also need to be sure that we are protected from the attacks of the assaulting culprits in the whirling world of the Internet.
Basic protection means having a wide breadth of knowledge about the possible dangers that hackers, virus writers, and spyware authors can bring once they penetrate our computer networks. Even our mobile devices like personal digital assistants should be safeguarded from the threats of these computer criminals. Thankfully, we've got BitDefender9 Standard that can protect us and our machines without excavating a large crater in our wallets.
This anti-virus cum anti-spyware product is a very affordable and very efficient way of repelling hackers, spyware, malware, viruses, and other bugs and worms from entering our networks. Though some viruses are highly-disguised as innocent legal files, the superb software can still detect and kick them out of our PC machines. Surely, there would be no troublesome computer abusers because we can have maximum security in a minimum price range.

I know that you want to protect your computer from the bad goons. But unfortunately, you don't have the means to purchase a firewall security system that will safeguard your PC from the nasty hackers, viruses, spywares, and adwares. On second thought, I know you have the means but your too budget-conscious and you want to spend your money on something worth it.
Eyebrows were raised when firewall providers and antivirus companies increased the price of their products. They're in demand you see, that's why there's an antivirus price hike. the demand is rising but the supply is getting out of the people's reach. And I guess it would be more appealing to the masses if it will come out in the market on a more inexpensive price. Okay, I think I might sound unfair to computer companies who barely earn some dollars for a living that's why they need to increase their product's price.
For those budget-conscious or I'd rather say budget-wise individuals like me, you can try costless internet security tools. There are firewalls, antivirus, antiadware and antispyware softwares that are downloadable for free. You can visit sits for an extensive range of these gadgets. However, since they're free of charge, you can only use them within thirty to ninety days. But that's better than being unprotected from cyber monster attacks.

Spammers and hackers are lurking in every corner of the four walls of the Internet. Inescapable. That would probably the closest word to describe these evil computer wizards. They use undetected e-mail to inflict you computer and turn it into a hideous zombie PC. A zombie PC as described by computer experts is used worldwide to send out spam.
E-mail is a good tool especially for long distance communication. But it can be worst if it's filled with stupid spam messages. Sometimes we keep on downloading or reading every message that we see in our e-mails. All that glitters is not gold, so you better take necessary precaution for your e-mails. But how can we stop spam from entering our inbox? We do have a huge variety of antispam software and hardware to choose from.
Spam Cube, for example. At first glance, you might think it's useless. It's a new gadget that only measures 4.50"x 4.50" so it won't eat all your desk space. This little tool can protect up to four computers from unwanted e-mails. It blocks worms and viruses and ensures you that you won't be an identity fraud victim. Just connect it with your modem and router, then, voila! You now have complete defense against those ugly git called spammers. Now, that's what I call cute and deadly!

The security of network is not only applicable to different offices and business establishments. Home network must also employ security to avoid the entrance of viruses and softwares that could destroy your computer. These also prevent the hackers from attacking your files. The first step you must do is to install a Microsoft update which will serve as an automatic warning. You also have to install a program of antivirus and firewall. These kinds of security are important especially if your home has many computers at home that share only one internet connection.
Meanwhile if you are wirelessly connected with the internet, the risk of your computer security is bigger because any user who is close to your system could probably see the sites in the internet you are visiting. That person might also access the files on your computers. However, such problems could be solved by using the broadband router and using the firewall software.
The firewall will block the unwanted communications brought by other computers. But sometimes it also blocks the information that you wish to acquire. This is like a door locked that no one could pass unless you permit it to do so.

As the technology continues to grow and develop, many people are also improving. This generation is considered as the computer age because almost everything is done in the computer. Computers serve as the storage of information by many students, businessmen and others. Internet researching is also done using these devices.
Many people also become more and more knowledgeable in computer but most are not using it properly, like the hackers. Hackers employ different tricks to look for ways on how they could access a particular system one of such is looking for vulnerability access. The well-versed hackers write a tool for scanning which is capable for looking the vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are used by hackers when they do the attack and exploit or destroy websites.
After looking for vulnerability access, a hacker search for the vulnerabilities for operating system. This is very easy for the hackers because it is just like typing the address of a URL and connecting to a link. Some hackers say that they are just trying to test their skills in computer and not to destroy a particular website. However, it is necessary that every website must employ maximum security which should be checked periodically because it is a continuous process.

As software developers strive to create more programs that would make technology faster and more reliable, so does the computer hackers who continuously write viruses that will interfere in the running of programs. However, although viruses pose a great threat to our computers, programmers and IT people are always on the watch for such harmful programs. Recently, they were able to detect a new virus called Download Fullalc.
The said virus is classified as Trojan horse which infects Windows versions 95, 98, 2000, Millenium Edition, Server 2003, New Technology, and Xplorer. As the name implies, Fullalc is downloaded to the user's computer whenever he visits a site that hosts a disfigured Hyper Text Mark-up Language page. This results in the computer's dowloading of a malicious, undesirable file that causes loss of data.
Fullalc can be prevented, just like any other viruses, by turning off or removal of some computer services which you don't necessarily use because they provide backdoors for the viruses. If you are using Windows XP, then it is advisable to disable the system restore or better yet, contact Symantec and seek help or ask for an antivirus program. Also, create passwords that are very difficult for hackers to guess. At the same time, be careful not to download free softwares from the internet that are not yet modified since a virus like Download Fullalc works like an impostor and it might disguise as a desirable when it is otherwise.

File sharing is exposed to piracy or hacking. That is why networks advise the users to secure their programs because there can be as many hackers or thieves as the users. How can we prevent this unavoidable circumstance? There are many ways in which we can, in our own way, safeguard files we share with our friends. Here are some suggestions: have an internet connection firewall, use passwords that are very difficult for others to guess, do not over-share files or folders, keep track on your Microsoft windows updates, and use an antivirus software.
Viruses are threats not only to personal computers; their danger is even more threatening to the business world. We do business right in our computers, in the comfort of our office. Such is the most likeable advantage of networking, but there inevitable occurrences when we lose the files most important to us and lose money. There are quick security measures that, if only we are serious in guarding our files, could result in a healthy sharing of files and hassle-free business transactions. Some are: users as well as servers should secure their systems, servers must always secure their client accounts, and servers must invest time in security patch updating.
