While surfing the web last night, I decided to check on the latest issues circling the digital planet, so I went on to visit some trusted computer web sites that can supply me valuable news on the current computer affairs. Most of the articles I've seen were for product reviews of the latest small ultraportable computers , mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, video recorders, firewall software and hardware, and a lot more. With regards to the news on computer activities, I was bored by news on countless product launches and computer meetings and conferences. Microsoft is really the software giant because most of the news contain details about the company and no less. I was hoping to see news about computer crimes but to my amazement and disappointment, there was no single article containing detail about arrested ID theft, detected new virus or spam protection. This might mean two things, either computer criminals became weary that they don't want to attack anymore or they are so sly and cunning that they are able to sneak on the media and the government's penetrating eyes. I hope that the former theory will be the reason so that we can sleep well on our bed during night time without the worry of spyware attacking our machines.
I visited more web sites and I was astonished and a bit confused with the news that they headlined, which I will be sharing to you guys now. The Motion Picture Association of America allegedly employed a hacker to ransacked the network of Valence Media and get valuable information from the company. Although the accused is still in denial even if the rage between two multimedia firms have been brought to court, the scary thing here is that, there are companies who are tolerating and asking the services of evil hackers for their own benefit. I'm not saying that MPAA did hire a criminal, it's just that if it's not MPAA, another company can still do it in the future. I don't know what's wrong with these guys but the news is as puzzling and as alarming.

Do your inbox or bulk mail contains unknown and unwanted emails each time you open your mail? You might probably know by now that those are spam mails that you have no intention of receiving. You also might thought that online newsprints, advertisements, products or merchandise selling mails, and the likes which usually crowd your mail are the ones considered as spam mails. However, these were not the type of mails that are considered illegal mail spam.
Be aware that some of your unknown senders often use false identities or email addresses. These usually offers or sells various products or tricks in the purpose of obtaining money from the male recipients. Fraudulent operators today are those who usually take advantage of the innovations in Internet connectivity. They can easily track down email users in a much cheaper UCE cost.
In addition, database shows that most of the unwanted spams we receive in our mails use fraudulent information regarding its senders along with false mail subjects and monetary claims from so-called services or goods. Hence, awareness is important in matters of illegal Internet schemes like the email spam.

Computer users beware, for stupid cyber criminals are getting more cunning and focused on gaining money the fastest way they can. These intruders use the so-called zero-day attack wherein it can sneak through your entire network unbeknown to all the security system you install your PC. And aside from that it can make severe damage to your system that you'll only learn of months after the attack.
This attack bypasses the hard shell that you surround your computer and grab the precious pearl inside your network. The operation does not veer away with the techniques employed by hackers now like proliferating viruses first on the network as a way to get into the hidden files of your PC while destroying the firewall protection simultaneously. Through this technique, hackers and crackers can get even your personal information and your trusted security tool, doesn't give much help.
I think with this kind of computer criminals that we got now, a stronger and stricter countermeasure is vital, though I'm not sure which device company or giant software company will be able to create this. Now that we are aware of a present and clear danger, the best thing that we can do is to maximize the usage of the security tools that we have because I know experts are doing their best to find ways of conquering these monsters. I'm also threatened by this report, but we can't do anything about it unless we know the personality of these culprits.

On my previous blogs I've introduced books that tackle information about hacking crimes and Internet security. I know that there are people who are not satisfied with a single branch of information that is why using my Dell Inspiron laptop, I search for other books that we could read to look for counterattacks against the rotten, filthy hands of hackers. I've seen several of them in Amazon.com and some of them I think will give us more helpful tips to protect our PCs.
Hacking: The Art of Exploitation will give us an in depth journey to witness how hackers penetrate the computers and how they use our system to infect the computers of other businesses. It contains topics like the anatomy of a hacking attack which gives a breadth discussion on the scenarios and tools in hacking assaults. Although the book needs an updated version sooner, it will still be a great aid for those who need vital information about network security.
The author of this masterpiece is Jon Erickson who also wrote the books Living Earth, Environmental Geology, and Marine Geology. His sudden change of genre from science to computers is I think a good move since he also has a vast knowledge about computers and showed his ability of discussing complicated topics in a more understandable format. I highly recommend the must-have book for those who need to study more about Internet Security so you'll know better about the protection of your precious machines.

I'm really wondering why hacker population grow so fast although they don't use any breeding system to multiply rapidly. I'm really confuse with this since government officials and some concerned group have been trying so hard to dampen these load of old trashes, their number in incessantly increasing every year. This fact poses computer users either business and personal to a maelstrom of serious danger and threat that can damage not only property but even lives.
Secret agents like the handsome Ethan hunt, movie stars like Tom Cruise and these hackers posses the same mysterious aura that give as a perception that they belong to the other end of the world. I'm not suggesting that hackers are cute nor boyfriend material, it's just that it has been a mystery to me why people even those considered as computer wizards are'nt able to put a halt on the many hacking attacks in the free flea market called Web. Maybe I'm exaggerating things but everytime I see news about hacking reports, I usually get the feeling that there's someone or something that serves as a big supporter or I mean, protector that helps these considered cyber criminals to get free from the hands of police authorities.
There's a book called The Hacker Crackdown available in bookstores today which tackles issues about hacking assaults and the bad guys behind those attacks. It also describes about the police operations to arrest suspected hackers and other computer culprits. Instead of wasting your time on your musical scrapbook, I think this book is a good read especially to those who need further information on hacking crimes and computer security.

Hackers have been a malevolent mortal enemy of internet users. We can't deny the fact that these computer experts morphed into cyber demons have affected more businesses and lives every year. No matter how we try to protect our precious computers from their filthy, dry hands, they just know how to find their way on our networks then leave us dumbfounded after stealing our files.
Various anti-hacking groups were formed to put an end to these devastating offenders. But few of them were successful. Because until now, reports on hacking is continuously rising. They say that the best way to deal with a criminal is to determine how they work. And this is exactly what the authors of the bestseller book entitled Hacking Exposed did. Now on its fifth edition, the book centers on informing users about the newest tools, and modus operandi of hackers evolving to new heights. It also tackles on the latest reports about hacking attacks and provides steps that shows how to safeguard computers against them.
The book is a helpful manual for every user. Although it contains features on how hackers operate, I hope you will use the information not to be a member of their developing club, but to stop their acts. The quote says, if you can't beat them then join them. But with this cool book as a guide, you just have to learn their tricks then kick them out of your safe computer network.

You won't steal a car parked in the sidewalk. You won't snatch the purse of your next door neighbor. You won't shoplift garments or food in your favorite department store. But you rummage through other's precious files and rob any document that you fancy. Stealing is a crime. Hacking is stealing.
The growing rate of information theft due to hacking is alarming. It dwindles the safety of every business and home based users who keep their files, documents and other important records in their computers. Various government programs had been launched and concerned citizens had taken necessary actions to stop these low-class individuals turned cyber criminals from inducing a new breed of destruction.
For instance, the Red Hacker Alliance, an anti-hacking group in China founded in the year 2000, is just one of the united groups in the world whose noble task is to stop internet attacks in foreign countries. Cyber Angels, formed in 1995 is another group that helps fight online abuse, cyber-stalking and other cyber crimes. The group might not be centered in tracking hackers, but still they are focused on ensuring the safety of every Internet user. You can actually help fight hackers even if you're not a part of the abovementioned groups. Following simple computer precaution is the first step to help attack the evil hackers. Another is to report any information you know about suspected hackers to authorities. Most especially, to stop a hacker is by not being one.

Any form of stealing is bad, right? A hacker breaks into files in the computer and steals the files that interest him. It is very sad to think that many people are using their technological knowledge to in negative ways such as destroying and stealing the files of other computer users.
In order to secure your website from unconscientious hackers, avoid giving out your password even to the people who are close to you. Next is to change occasionally your password. It is better that you write it than save in a hard disk that has no sufficient protection from firewall. Third, avoid using words that are available in the thesaurus, or any information that represents the date of your birth day, number of your house, and street. This will give the hackers a hard time in guessing your password. You also have to ensure that you maintain your communication with your provider. Doing so will enable them to know your true personality. You can also easily ask for their help if a hacker broke in to your account. If a hacker was able to get your password, your personal files will be in danger so you have to ensure maximum security to your website.

"Parents are the first teachers." This is a belief that until now we still hold. Before sending children to school, parents teach their children with the basic values in life and right attitudes when dealing with other people. In school, the inculcated knowledge by parents is further developed by the teachers. One of the many different values that they usually teach to children is to refrain from stealing other people's belongings and invading the privacy of other people.
As the years pass by, these values are slowly fading. Many individuals today have lost their values that they break into people's property. For instance, computer hacking.
Computer hacking is usually done by computer wizards who want to apply their knowledge in a negative way. Through their knowledge in computer they are able to access or enter a private system. They also get files from the system they have entered. Hackers may argue that they just borrowed the files but that is still a form of stealing since they broke in a private system. That is why there should be a tight system security to protect the program from hackers.

I love hack software for the simple reason that like open source software they allow improvement so that your ordinary PC or mobile device becomes more powerful. Let's not confuse hack programs with hackers. The latter has a strong negative connotation whereas I'm only referring to hack programs that help maximize the potential of particular software or device.
HackMaster v0.9 is one of the best operating system managers that organizes hack files and installs/uninstalls patches. With HackMaster it is so much easier to perform hacks on, for example. It's such a groundbreaking program that anyone can use to further the benefits of his mobile device.

Wifi technology is the hottest trend today. You can fully enjoy browsing the internet since you need not to worry about cable connections. All you need to do is to equip your computer or notebook with the required devices.
You can also set up a wireless network with the advanced technology. However, a wireless network is more vulnerable to virtual threats compared to a cable network system. You can solve this, however, by availing a superior security system other wise called as "encryption."
WEP is the first wireless security ever developed. However, there are now various types of security systems you can choose form in the market.

Picture a house. The doors and windows stand ajar and as such, you may think that burglars can easily break in. Now, picture the doors and the windows closed. Does this stop the burglar from stealing the stuff inside the house? Hackers operate in the same manner. Protected or not, your network is a hotspot for hackers and you can't stop them from breaking in.
However because of "third party" software, computer networks are now safe from hackers. Or are they? In fact, in the internet no computer can be free of such crime. Still, it pays to prevent hacking before it's too late. Firewall security and other protection software are our best bet against these internet burglars.

Your computer becomes vulnerable to many damaging attacks such as hacking, viruses, and spams from the moment it is connected to the internet. While you cannot do anything to stop these dangers from spreading, you can, can however, protect and save your PC from such illegal and destructive intrusions.
There are several ways which you can do in order to secure your computer and files. First, select an internet provider that provides special security services. Second, install anti-spam, firewall, anti-virus, and other powerful security softwares in your computer. Third and last, make sure that the softwares you use do not contradict each other and update them regularly.

If you're wondering how to stop spam from invading your inbox, or simply curious on how to manage your emails efficiently, then you can always get an email client that works best for your needs. Mozilla's Thunderbird is one. However, there are a host of other email client security software in the market that are just as easy to download and as easy to acquire on CD-ROM such as Eudora, Foxmail, Opera and Scribe. Thunderbird is an excellent tool as it has set the standard for efficient email client management.
For one, it can adapt to the controls you set in your email when it comes to handling spam. To manage your emails well, it provides message filters, global inbox and message views. Thunderbird has extensions and add-ons (Palm Synchronization) too, that makes it easy for you to customize your email client account.
It's the best thing there is when it comes to email client program. Still, there's no harm in looking out there for another breakthrough.
