Clearing the Web

Regarded as a an advanced level of the multimedia, the Internet is widely and wildly used as an aid for education, entertainment, arts, news and most commonly for communication. Chat rooms, instant messenger, informational websites and online games are few advantages that it offers. Similar to a huge closet, it contains all classes of stuff.

Having a free flow of communication enables anybody to provide and receive different kinds of message and materials such as advertisements, sample products, promotions, fanmails etc.
The freedom permits us to search for information that we want to talk about even those that are considered taboo by the society. The lack of restrictions became the root of an unresolved argument by users.

Should the World Wide Web be censored? Various groups claimed that Internet is no longer safe for children and teens since websites about drugs, sex, terrorism and violence are arrive at with just the click of the mouse. Likened to a web, a vicious monster is lurking underneath its corner to mercilessly destroy any innocent prey that it can find. Meanwhile, those opposing to its expurgation argues that it's man's own accord if he decides to log on such websites comprising heinous topics.

They also believe that censoring the internet would trample freedom of expression.
Personally, I disagree in the proposed Internet censorship. But don't get me wrong, I'm no supporter of violence or drugs.

It's just that the Internet is a rich source of information as it bestows almost any topic even those that we haven't dream of. Besides, there are computer gadgets and devices that help filter out malicious and unwanted messages such as anti-spam tools and firewall security software. As for parents, you can guide your kids while they surf the web.
