This morning, I read an e-mail from a friend who is currently working at the
Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. It told me the story of a young Chinese mother whose five-month daughter was sick with leukemia. Leukemia, as we all know is cancer of the blood that kills a patient gently but painfully. The e-mail contains pictures of the child in the hospital covered with dextrose and intravenous pipes. I know that this e-mail would melt anyone's heart.
